Thanks, Chibbi! We're getting settled in the new hotel now (SO MUCH nicer than the place we were in), and will be headed out soon to have lunch and explore downtown Seattle. Yay! :)

Good morning... We booked another hotel for the rest of our stay in the area. I hope it's better; we did it over the phone, sight unseen. At least the cancelation policy is such that if we don't like the place, we can cancel the reservation by 4 PM the day of without penalty. (...)

Can't do it. The room is too small, walls too thin, location isn't great, and it seems far from tourist attractions and the wedding venues. Am searching for new hotels to check out tomorrow, even though I'm dead tired.

At the hotel. The room is not up to the usual standards, but it was inexpensive and has a little (really little) kitchenette, so it'll work fine for a place to crash. We'll be out all day anyway, so no biggie. Just glad to be in the room now! Time to sleep soon-ish.

No hwy lights and rain make for poor visibility. (actually we now have hwy lights)

landed, got rental car, and now we're on the way to the hotel (GPS is helping). Either I-5 is really sucky, or we have a flat tire... (!)

No, my rolling hand carry is chock full of my camera gear (the bag is pretty damn heavy), and I want another bag as my purse. But I don't like having a small bag and having to cram everything in it. As long as one can count as a personal item, and the other is carry-on, then that's okay. (...)
